I Wrote a Book!

It has been awhile since my last post on this site because I have been busy writing my first ever poetry book: Turbulent Twenties!

I began writing this book in 2019 and it took quite a turn in the writing within it as the world took its own turn. So Turbulent Twenties is about going through your Turbulent Twenties in the Turbulent Twenties. I am giving you an exclusive sneak peek of the book by sharing the opening poem: 'Turbulence' with you. Turbulence

‘Ladies and Gentlemen, we are experiencing some turbulence and the captain has switched on the fasten seat belt sign. Would you please return to your seats and ensure that your seatbelts are securely fastened.’

Exhilarating,

Invigorating,

Thrilling.

Unsettling,

Wearisome,

Tiring.

Turbulence can end fatally,

But it doesn’t have to.

Fasten your seatbelt,

Breathe.

Feel your stomach jump as you drop,

Feel your body tense as you incline.

Allow that giddy laugh as you drop suddenly.

Give your hands time to recover as you return to smooth flying.
