I've forgotten what I once used to know,
Forever trying to go with everyone else's flow.
I've forgotten how to live in the moment,
Always focusing on what happened long ago.
I've forgotten how to unclench my jaw,
I've even forgotten my last hurrah.
I've forgotten how to love,
I've even forgotten how to rise above.
Yet, I still remember my mourning dove,
The one that I am oh so tired of.
But she will remember.
